Errantry Lodge has been run by Chin-Nan (Arthur) and Mei-Feng (Teresa) together since 2008.

A house, a life, and a journey the two of us have looked after together.

Chin-Nan handles the website, content, photography, branding, and travel sharing; Mei-Feng takes care of everything day-to-day at the guesthouse, from housekeeping to breakfast to welcoming every guest who checks in. Every day at Errantry Lodge is something we build together.

Life hasn't always gone smoothly. Over the years, we've faced our share of challenges. Chin-Nan had to step away from work for a while due to health reasons, and Errantry Lodge has been able to keep steadily moving forward only because Mei-Feng quietly carried the day-to-day running and care of the place.

Having come through that storm, Errantry Lodge is now finding its footing again, one steady step at a time — and we've come to appreciate quiet moments even more. Travel, life, health, family — it turns out the most important things were never about rushing ahead, but about staying safely by the side of the people you cherish, and making the most of each day.

Our two children — Jam Brother and Jelly Sister — aren't involved in running the guesthouse day-to-day, but they're the emotional heart of this family, growing up alongside Errantry Lodge every step of the way.

We'll still be here going forward, continuing to welcome every traveler who journeys far to reach us,

Built with Care, from the Day We Broke Ground

Errantry Lodge looks the way it does today because of far more than just the two of us.

The cypress sliding beds and custom furniture were made by hand, piece by piece, in a workshop by two craftsmen we call "Abulasang" and "A-De." The garden's planting plan was designed with help from my parents — the courtyard so many guests now come specifically to photograph started out as an idea the whole family shaped together. The murals on the lounge walls were painted by Mr. Chen and his wife, our resident "master artists," who brought that space to life. Later, our Working Holiday friends added their own hand-painted touches to each of the different rooms as well.

These are the people behind the scenes who shaped Errantry Lodge into what it is.

Breakfast, a Commitment That Hasn't Changed in 17 Years

From our very first day open in 2008, Errantry Lodge has served a wellness breakfast we prepare ourselves.

Chinese-style on your first day, Western-style if you stay a second — so that each day brings something a little different to look forward to.

Back then, "organic" and "healthy eating" weren't buzzwords yet. We simply felt that we could only serve guests, with peace of mind, what we were willing to eat ourselves.

Seventeen years later, that original intention hasn't changed.

After a surgery two years ago, we became even more mindful of diet and health, and today roughly 80% of our breakfast ingredients are organic. What our guests eat every day is exactly what we eat ourselves.

We believe a simple, trustworthy breakfast isn't just a good start to the day — it's also a small gesture of care for every traveler who stays with us.
